Marketing strategy
A 90-day plan and budget tied to a revenue target.
Most marketing consultants hand over a strategy and leave. I write the strategy from your sales data, then stay to run it with you: the ads, the content, the website and the follow-up. I work with small and growing businesses across Sydney and Australia, from builders and electricians to SaaS and professional services, and I have managed $40M+ in profitable ad spend for 30+ brands.

A marketing consultant works out where your customers come from, what they cost and what is being wasted, then sets a plan to get more of the right ones. That covers positioning, channels, budget, content, website and how leads are followed up and reported.
The useful ones also do some of the work. I run Google and Meta ads, set the creative strategy, fix landing pages and tracking, and report on leads and revenue, so the plan does not sit in a drawer.
A marketing strategist sets direction: who to target, with what message, through which channels. A marketing consultant does that and usually more hands-on diagnosis and fixing. An agency executes one or more channels. A fractional CMO owns the whole function on an ongoing basis. I work across all four, so the question is how much you want me to own.
| Sets the strategy | Does the work | Typical engagement | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketing strategist | Yes | Rarely | A plan or workshop |
| Marketing consultant (me) | Yes | Yes, ads, content and tracking | An audit, then a monthly retainer |
| Marketing agency | For its channels | Yes | Monthly fees per channel |
| Fractional CMO | Yes, for the whole function | Through your team or mine | Ongoing seat |
Every strategy covers five systems, because a weak one drags down the rest: demand (paid search, paid social and referral), creative (the angles, hooks, video and photo that feed every channel), conversion (landing pages and the website), lifecycle (CRM, follow-up and reactivation) and measurement (GA4, call tracking and reporting to revenue).
It starts with a two-week audit of your ad accounts, website, tracking and sales data, and ends with a 90-day plan: what to fix first, what to stop, where the budget goes and how we will know it worked.
Ads and social only go as far as the content going into them. So the strategy includes what to film and photograph each month, and my studio Content Department shoots and edits to that plan. The ad results then decide what gets shot next. See how that worked for Arbor Building.
My fee is a flat monthly retainer, from $1,500 a month, not a percentage of your ad spend. The ad budget is separate and is paid straight to the platform, so the fee does not climb when the budget does. The audit can be done on its own and is quoted on the first call. Month one of a retainer is a paid trial: if the plan and the first changes are not live within 30 days, you can walk away and get the retainer back.
The five systems, plus the plan that ties them together.

Fractional CMO and Head of Growth are the job titles. Copilot and Captain are how the role runs day to day. You get a senior marketing leader either way. The only question is who's driving.
You fly · I'm by your side
For teams that already execute and need senior judgement on tap.
What you get
Best fit: An in-house marketer or agency already doing the work.
I fly · you're my crew
For founders without a marketing leader who want a system installed and run.
What you get
Best fit: Businesses between roughly $1M and $20M revenue.
From $1,500 a month. One retainer, either seat, a fraction of what a full-time CMO costs. The exact number depends on scope, and you get it on the first call.
Both seats, first 30 days. Audit, plan, and the first quick wins shipped.
Month one is a paid trial. If the plan and the first changes are not live within 30 days, walk away and I refund the retainer.
Works out where your customers come from and what they cost, then sets and runs a plan to get more of the right ones. I cover strategy, ads, content, website, CRM and reporting.
Sets direction: the target customer, the message, the channels and the budget. I do that as part of every engagement, then stay to run the plan rather than handing it over.
If you have a team that can execute and you need direction, a strategist. If you need direction and someone to fix and run things, a consultant. I work either way.
My retainer is flat, from $1,500 a month, and not a percentage of ad spend. A standalone audit is quoted on the first call.
Yes. Most clients are founder-led businesses turning over $1M to $20M, including builders, electricians, franchises and professional services firms.
Yes. I set the content strategy and my studio Content Department shoots the video and photo, so ads and social run off the same plan.
Not necessarily. I can brief and manage your agency, or bring in Compound Growth if there is nobody to build.
I am based in Sydney and meet clients across Greater Sydney. Most work runs remote, so I also work with businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
The plan and the first fixes are live within 30 days. Paid channels usually show a clear read in 60 to 90 days.
Tell me what you sell, roughly where revenue sits, and what's stuck. I'll reply within a business day with an honest view on whether I can help and what I'd do first.
